What You Will Do:
As a key member of our finance department, you will ensure the integrity of our financial data and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve them efficiently.
- Tax Support: Assist the tax team in preparing quarterly and annual tax filings and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Audit Prep: Coordinate with external auditors by providing necessary documentation and supporting schedules for annual audits.
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement internal controls and streamline accounting processes to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or a similar role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure data accuracy in high-volume environments.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Location: Must reside in Georgia or be willing to relocate to the Atlanta metro area.
