Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Process weekly and monthly payroll for multiple clients using ADP or QuickBooks Payroll.
- Prepare and send out invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements monthly to identify discrepancies.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and tax packages.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their financial statements and account inquiries.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a small business or agency setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and prevent fraud.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
