Job Summary
As a Weekend Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring all transactions are processed correctly during the weekend hours. You will work closely with our accounting team to close out weekly cycles and prepare reports for the upcoming week.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements for the week ending on Sundays.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and detect discrepancies.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage payments, and track receivables to ensure timely cash flow.
- Payroll: Assist in processing payroll for the upcoming week, ensuring all timesheets and deductions are accurate.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger by recording daily transactions and ensuring all journal entries are posted correctly.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial records comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Software: Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage is required.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and advanced data entry skills.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday).
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; High school diploma with relevant certification (e.g., NACPB) is also acceptable.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all financial data.
