The Role:
We are looking for a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timely payments.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of annual federal and state tax returns and quarterly payroll filings.
- Conduct detailed bank reconciliations and perform variance analysis to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop, track, and monitor the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records using accounting software.
- Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- 1-3 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and strong MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to meet strict deadlines under pressure.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
