We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Weekend Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team in San Jose, CA. At Apex Financial Solutions, we pride ourselves on accuracy and efficiency. As a Weekend Bookkeeper, you will handle the bulk of our weekly financial operations, ensuring that all transactions are recorded correctly and reports are ready for the Monday morning review.
Responsibilities
- Process and record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a weekly basis.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Assist with payroll processing and tax preparation for the weekend workforce.
- Maintain accurate and organized digital and physical filing systems.
- Generate and review financial reports to support business decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and accounting standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bookkeeper or in an accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during weekend shifts.
- Must be available to work Saturday and Sunday.
