About the Role:
As the Payroll Clerk, you will be the backbone of our compensation operations. You will manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring every employee is paid correctly and on time. If you have a knack for numbers and a passion for helping others, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Calculate and process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees accurately and timely.
- Verify timekeeping records, payroll tax forms, and deductions for accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and distribute pay stubs, W-2s, and year-end tax statements.
- Maintain confidential employee files and HR documentation in compliance with privacy laws.
- Assist with month-end close processes and reconcile payroll expenses.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries regarding pay and benefits.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- 1-3 years of direct experience in payroll processing or a related financial role.
- Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks Payroll, or similar) is essential.
- Strong knowledge of FLSA regulations and Colorado state payroll laws.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and exceptional data entry accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
