Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile daily accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with high accuracy.
- Perform nightly bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews to identify discrepancies.
- Prepare and post journal entries for the closing period, ensuring adherence to GAAP standards.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including variance analysis.
- Generate and distribute accurate financial reports to management on a nightly basis.
- Manage and organize digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
- Collaborate with the day shift team to resolve any outstanding accounting issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general accounting, preferably in a night shift or data-intensive role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger functions, and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
