The Role:
As our Night Shift Bookkeeper, you will be the guardian of our financial data. You will be responsible for the full-cycle bookkeeping process, ensuring that all entries are accurate, timely, and compliant with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Responsibilities
- Manage and process high-volume Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure cash flow accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Process payroll for a select group of clients during the night shift cycle.
- Generate and review financial statements, trial balances, and general ledgers.
- Assist with month-end close procedures, including journal entries and accruals.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for tax documents and invoices.
- Communicate with clients and team members via email or secure messaging platforms regarding urgent financial queries.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a night shift or high-volume setting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero (Advanced level).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros).
- Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Must be willing and able to work night shifts (e.g., 5:00 PM - 2:00 AM) on a rotational basis.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality.
