Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring all invoices and bills are processed accurately.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance to ensure data integrity.
- Prepare and post journal entries accurately during the night shift.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures, including variance analysis.
- Generate and review standard financial reports for management review the following morning.
- Process payroll data and assist with payroll tax filings as needed.
- Maintain accurate and organized digital and physical filing systems.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
- Must be available and willing to work the night shift (e.g., 5:00 PM - 2:00 AM).
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with the day shift team.
