Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile all weekly accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with high accuracy.
- Prepare and review weekly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements for the weekend period.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly tax filings and audit schedules.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, GAAP, and federal regulations.
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) to manage and update general ledgers.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding weekend account status and inquiries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 1-3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting or corporate finance setting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Experience with cloud-based accounting software is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and error detection.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during weekend shifts.
- CPA certification is a significant plus.
