Responsibilities
- Perform month-end closing procedures including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for client portfolio review
- Process payroll and expense reports with zero-error tolerance
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and vendor communications
- Conduct internal audits and ensure SOX compliance documentation
- Collaborate with weekday team on cross-departmental financial projects
- Maintain digital and physical financial records with strict confidentiality
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on accounting experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel
- Deep understanding of GAAP and Maryland tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with numerical accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Weekend availability (Sat/Sun) with occasional weekday flexibility
