Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end closes, and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and KPI dashboards
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure compliance with SOX controls
- Lead tax preparation activities and coordinate with external auditors
- Implement process improvements and optimize accounting workflows
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-departmental financial collaboration
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives for executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expertise in GAAP principles and regulatory compliance requirements
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Proven track record of improving accounting processes and controls
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting and presentations
- U.S. work authorization and clean background check required
