Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger activities and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Perform bank reconciliations and identify variances to resolve discrepancies.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and internal policies.
- Collaborate with the finance team to optimize accounting processes and workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in general accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Candidates with a CPA certification or CPA in progress are preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
