Responsibilities

  • Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable (AP/AR) processes.
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy and detect discrepancies.
  • Process payroll accurately and on time for a diverse client base.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and tax documents.
  • Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage) to maintain general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare and send invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Collaborate with the accounting manager to implement process improvements and internal controls.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is required.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
