As a Payroll Clerk, you will be the backbone of our compensation processes, ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time. You will work closely with HR and management to maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees using ADP or similar software.
- Verify and input timecards, leave requests, and overtime hours with 100% accuracy.
- Prepare and distribute monthly pay statements (W-2s) and tax documentation.
- Reconcile payroll bank accounts and resolve any discrepancies or garnishments.
- Assist with year-end tax filings and audit preparations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee financial data.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from staff and management promptly.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in payroll processing, HR, or a related administrative role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Familiarity with payroll tax laws (Federal and Michigan state) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
