Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax filings and support external auditors during annual reviews.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting workflows.
- Maintain accurate digital financial records and ensure data integrity within our ERP systems.
- Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis for key business units.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Masterās degree (MBA) preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of US tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Must be a self-starter capable of working independently in a remote environment.
- Valid driverās license and willingness to attend quarterly team meetups in the Portland area.
