Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle payroll process for over 500 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including FLSA.
- Process payroll adjustments, corrections, and garnishments as required.
- Prepare and distribute monthly payroll reports to management and finance departments.
- Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related employee inquiries and escalations.
- Collaborate with HR to maintain accurate timekeeping data and leave balances.
- Assist in the annual audit preparation and year-end tax filing processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
- Proficiency in payroll software (ADP Workforce Now or Paychex Flex preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of payroll tax laws, including Massachusetts and federal regulations.
- Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, BambooHR) is a plus.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts clearly.
