Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle payroll processing for a diverse workforce of over 500 employees using ADP Workforce Now.
- Ensure 100% accuracy in gross-to-net calculations, tax withholdings, and deductions.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local payroll tax returns (941, W-2s, W-3s) in strict compliance with current regulations.
- Resolve complex payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries regarding paychecks, deductions, and tax statements.
- Collaborate with the HR and Finance departments to maintain accurate employee records, timekeeping data, and benefit enrollments.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to identify trends, errors, and opportunities for process optimization.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly payroll reports for executive leadership.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Payroll Certification (e.g., CPP) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paylocity, or Ceridian) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- Strong working knowledge of FLSA regulations, wage and hour laws, and tax compliance requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive financial data with the utmost confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts to non-financial staff.
