Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly payroll for over 200 employees using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring all timesheets and deductions are accurate.
- Calculate and process payroll taxes, garnishments, and deductions in compliance with IRS and Nebraska state laws.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including changes in tax status, direct deposit information, and benefit enrollments.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries regarding pay stubs, tax forms, and time-off balances with professionalism and accuracy.
- Prepare and reconcile payroll reports for management and auditors, including W-2 and 1099 forms.
- Collaborate with the HR department to ensure data consistency across all human resources systems.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a related accounting role.
- Proven proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Ceridian) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws, including FLSA regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff and management.
