Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Oversee daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets.
- Software Proficiency: Manage and maintain client accounts using QuickBooks Online and Xero.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial records are compliant with GAAP and local tax regulations.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding their financial inquiries and monthly statements.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Software: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Certifications: Bookkeeping certification (NACPB, AAIP) or CPA license is a plus.
- Skills: Strong understanding of GAAP, payroll processing, and tax preparation basics.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
