Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Oversee the full-cycle bookkeeping process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Reconciliation: Perform accurate and timely bank reconciliations, credit card statements, and inter-company eliminations.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports with high attention to detail.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal policies.
- Tax Support: Assist in the preparation and organization of tax documents for quarterly and annual filings.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding financial inquiries and statement reviews.
- Software Proficiency: Manage and update client accounts in QuickBooks Online and other financial software platforms.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage Intacct is required; strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are essential.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to detect discrepancies and ensure data accuracy in high-volume environments.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Organization: Proven ability to manage multiple client portfolios simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
