Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle bookkeeping process, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll for multiple clients using ADP or Gusto, ensuring tax compliance.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including trial balances, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax returns in collaboration with external tax professionals.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems, both digital and physical.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures efficiently.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, Sage).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Experience with payroll processing and tax preparation is highly preferred.
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or enrolled agent (EA) designation is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and team members professionally.
