As a Bookkeeper, you will be the gatekeeper of our financial health, ensuring accuracy in every transaction and providing crucial insights to leadership. We are a forward-thinking company serving clients across the region, with opportunities extending to New York and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial reports for management review.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including tax preparation support.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero) to track expenses and manage budgets.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounting role.
- Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies quickly.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
