Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end medical billing processes including claim submission, denial resolution, and payment posting
- Analyze and reconcile complex accounts receivable reports to identify revenue leakage
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate coding and documentation compliance
- Develop billing process improvements using Epic EMR and Cerner systems
- Train junior staff on billing regulations and best practices
- Conduct monthly audits for HIPAA and CMS compliance
- Act as primary liaison for insurance company negotiations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) required
- Expertise in Epic EMR billing workflows and denial management
- Advanced knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding and CMS regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel with VLOOKUP and pivot table skills
- Experience with revenue cycle metrics and KPI reporting
- Strong problem-solving abilities for complex claim resolution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
