Responsibilities
- Process 50+ daily transactions with precision and efficiency including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through personalized service and proactive financial guidance
- Actively identify cross-selling opportunities for banking products and services
- Maintain strict adherence to BSA/AML compliance protocols and security procedures
- Balance cash drawer and reconcile daily transactions with 100% accuracy
- Support branch operations by resolving client inquiries and resolving account discrepancies
- Mentor junior tellers on service standards and operational best practices
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of cash handling experience in financial services or retail
- Proven track record of exceptional customer service with measurable satisfaction metrics
- Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail demonstrated through balancing experience
- Proficiency with banking software (e.g., Fiserv, FIS) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to multitask efficiently during peak business hours while maintaining composure
- Valid California Notary Public commission or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Fluency in English and Spanish highly preferred due to Oakland's diverse population
