Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees using ADP or similar payroll software.
- Verify and reconcile timecards, leave requests, and overtime calculations with precision.
- Prepare and distribute monthly payroll reports to management and finance teams.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
- Assist with the preparation of year-end tax forms (W-2s, 1099s) and quarterly tax filings.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries regarding paychecks and deductions.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and organized payroll records and filing systems.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Payroll Clerk or similar role (1-3 years preferred).
- Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or QuickBooks is highly desirable).
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations in Texas and the US.
- Excellent mathematical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality.
