Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes and financial reporting for diverse client portfolios
- Prepare and analyze balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and ensure compliance with GAAP
- Conduct reconciliations and variance analysis for financial accounts
- Collaborate with auditors and tax professionals during compliance reviews
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide financial guidance to clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Expertise in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with multi-state tax compliance
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of Portland's business regulations and tax codes
