Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and maintain accurate general ledgers
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for executive leadership and stakeholders
- Implement and optimize internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Lead audit preparation processes and liaise with external auditors
- Develop financial models to support strategic decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (e.g., SAP)
- Demonstrated experience with multi-state tax compliance and payroll processing
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for financial reporting presentations
