Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
- Manage general ledger accounts, perform account reconciliations, and investigate variances.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for executive leadership.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP accounting standards and internal control procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes and cost structures.
- Assist in external audits and tax preparations as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s degree preferred).
- CPA certification is a significant plus.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment.
