Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial statements with GAAP compliance
- Lead month-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing for 100+ employees
- Develop financial models and forecasts supporting executive decision-making
- Conduct internal audits and ensure SOX compliance protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and cost analysis
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Demonstrated success in financial reporting and regulatory compliance
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing accounting teams or mentoring junior staff
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder reporting
- Knowledge of Tennessee state tax regulations
