Role Overview
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing the daily financial operations of the firm, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and assisting in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements. You will act as a key partner to management, providing insights that drive strategic financial decisions.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and ongoing variance analysis.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and external audit requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, or Oracle) is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
