Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable, using QuickBooks and Xero.
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and tax returns.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger entries with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct monthly variance analysis to assist senior management in budgeting and forecasting.
- Assist clients with payroll processing and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Maintain organized financial records and ensure data security within the remote environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) license is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and tax regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interactions.
