Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filing for federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
- Assist in the budgeting process and provide variance analysis to senior management.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure financial controls and compliance policies are strictly followed.
- Process payroll accurately and ensure all payroll tax filings are up to date.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial reporting and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of US tax laws, GAAP, and internal controls.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect discrepancies and errors.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
