Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for all employees using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring 100% accuracy.
  • Maintain strict compliance with federal (FICA, FLSA) and state (WI) tax laws and payroll regulations.
  • Process new hire onboarding, including tax forms and benefit enrollments, and manage offboarding procedures.
  • Handle complex payroll deductions, garnishments, and payroll tax filings accurately.
  • Reconcile payroll reports, prepare month-end journals, and audit payroll records for discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to resolve employee inquiries regarding pay, time off, and deductions.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or HR, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years of hands-on payroll experience, preferably in a mid-sized company.
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or Ceridian).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and experience with HRIS systems.
