Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly payroll for all employees using ADP and internal systems to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Verify and audit timecards, timesheets, and leave requests to maintain payroll data integrity.
- Prepare and remit payroll taxes, including federal, state, and local withholdings.
- Prepare monthly payroll reports for management and review general ledger entries for payroll accounts.
- Assist with year-end tax filings, W-2 form generation, and 1099 processing.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding paychecks, deductions, and tax documents professionally.
- Update employee payroll records and maintain confidential personnel files.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing or a related financial role.
- Proficiency with payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or QuickBooks) is required.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll tax laws, compliance requirements, and FLSA.
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) for data analysis and error detection.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to detect discrepancies in large datasets.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff and management.
- High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
