Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring 100% accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including deduction summaries and year-end tax documents (W-2s).
- Reconcile payroll bank accounts and resolve discrepancies with banking partners and vendors.
- Assist with the administration of timekeeping systems and approve timesheets for hourly staff.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding paychecks, deductions, and benefits in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee and financial data.
- Collaborate with the HR department to update personnel files and process new hire payroll setups.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a related accounting role.
- Proficiency with payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, or QuickBooks is mandatory.
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws (FLSA) and tax regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) is highly desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service oriented approach.
