Responsibilities

  • Process Payroll: Accurately calculate and process payroll for all employees on a bi-weekly basis, ensuring timely deposits and tax filings.
  • Timekeeping Management: Review and verify time sheets and timesheets to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policy and labor laws.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including tax documents, benefits enrollment, and employee data.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly payroll reports and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (FICA, FUTA, etc.).
  • Employee Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, deductions, and pay stubs.
  • System Updates: Assist in the implementation and maintenance of payroll software (ADP/QuickBooks) and update employee information as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a related accounting role.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of payroll software (ADP, Paylocity, or QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors quickly.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff and management.
