Responsibilities
- Process Payroll: Accurately calculate and process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for over 200 employees using ADP Workforce Now.
- Timekeeping Management: Verify timecards, resolve discrepancies in hours worked, and calculate overtime and bonuses.
- Compliance & Tax: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws; prepare and reconcile payroll tax filings.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized, up-to-date payroll records and assist with year-end reporting and W-2 generation.
- Employee Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, deductions, and direct deposits.
- Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with benefits providers and financial institutions to ensure seamless payroll execution.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing or a similar administrative finance role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations, FLSA, and garnishment processes.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong mathematical aptitude, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Integrity: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive financial data with the highest level of discretion and confidentiality.
