Responsibilities
- Process Payroll: Accurately calculate and process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees using ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll software.
- Compliance & Filing: Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including pay stubs, W-2s, and 1099s; assist with federal and state tax filings.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies or errors; provide clear answers to employee payroll inquiries.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date payroll records and audit trails to support internal and external audits.
- Deductions & Taxes: Calculate and process garnishments, benefits deductions, and ensure compliance with FLSA regulations.
- Timekeeping Support: Collaborate with HR to verify time cards, overtime hours, and leave balances.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in payroll processing, payroll administration, or a related financial role.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of ADP, QuickBooks Payroll, or SAP.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of Florida tax laws, FLSA regulations, and payroll best practices.
- Skills: Excellent attention to detail and advanced mathematical accuracy.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex payroll information to non-financial staff.
