Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees accurately and on time.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including tax forms (W-2, W-4) and deductions.
- Calculate overtime, commissions, and bonuses in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management and HR departments.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries regarding paychecks and deductions.
- Ensure compliance with FLSA and New Mexico state labor laws.
- Assist with year-end tax filings and W2 processing.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar finance role.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks Payroll).
- Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll tax laws, specifically in New Mexico.
- Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex payroll information clearly.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
