Responsibilities
- Process and disburse weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees using ADP or similar software.
- Verify and audit timesheets, timesheets, and leave requests for accuracy and completeness.
- Calculate payroll taxes, deductions, and net pay according to current federal and state regulations (FLSA, ACA).
- Maintain and update employee personnel files, including tax forms and I-9s.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll discrepancies, tax documents, and pay stubs.
- Prepare and file quarterly and annual tax reports, including 940, 941, and state returns.
- Assist with month-end close processes related to payroll expenses.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or a related administrative role.
- Proficient in payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential).
- Strong knowledge of FLSA laws, tax regulations, and payroll compliance requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and resolve discrepancies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive employee information with confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
