Responsibilities
- Process and maintain accurate weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees using ADP Workforce Now.
- Calculate overtime, commissions, bonuses, and deductions in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Reconcile payroll accounts, prepare journal entries, and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Assist with tax filings, including quarterly W-2s and 1099s, ensuring full compliance with California and federal laws.
- Maintain and update employee personnel files and timekeeping records with precision.
- Answer payroll-related inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the HR team to implement new payroll policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing or a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency with payroll software, specifically ADP or Paychex.
- Strong working knowledge of California wage and hour laws and tax regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and Word.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data.
