Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions monthly with precision.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, financial statements, and balance sheets.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end close process to ensure timely reporting.
- Process payroll for a small team of employees.
- Monitor financial performance by tracking variances and preparing variance analysis reports.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks or Xero preferred) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax preparation principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and team members.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Reliable internet connection and computer setup if working remotely components are involved.
