Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Process and code invoices, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly in the general ledger.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements.
- Assist with payroll processing and year-end tax preparation.
- Organize and maintain digital and physical financial records and filing systems.
- Communicate with clients regarding account status and financial inquiries.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online or Xero.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and macros).
- Deep understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP) and tax compliance regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setting with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
