Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare financial statements.
- Process payroll for small to mid-sized clients using QuickBooks Online.
- Assist in tax preparation activities and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Reconcile credit card statements and review expense reports for accuracy.
- Maintain organized financial records and filing systems.
- Communicate financial status updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role (1-3 years preferred).
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies.
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote/hybrid setting.
