Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including issuing invoices and making payments.
- Prepare and generate monthly financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and supporting documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role (1+ years preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax preparation principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a part-time capacity.
