Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including recording transactions and maintaining the general ledger.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices in a timely manner.
- Prepare and send monthly financial statements and balance sheets.
- Assist with payroll processing for our small team.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
- Organize and maintain physical and digital financial records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a bookkeeper or in an accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanor.
