Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable (AP/AR).
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance on a monthly basis.
- Process payroll for small to medium-sized businesses using QuickBooks or Xero.
- Prepare and send invoices and manage collections.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and month-end close procedures.
- Reconcile credit card statements and expense reports.
- Maintain and organize financial documentation and filing systems.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in Bookkeeping or Associate’s degree in Accounting/Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or payroll.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero is required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax compliance knowledge.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.
