We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team in Long Beach, CA. Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing and vendor payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements monthly to ensure data integrity.
- Assist with payroll processing, including running reports and processing timesheets.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Organize and file physical and digital financial documents for easy retrieval.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and budget planning as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a small business or accounting firm setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and discrepancies.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation is a plus.
