Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Process daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, profit and loss reports, and balance sheets for clients.
- General Ledger: Maintain and update the general ledger, including journal entries and adjusting entries.
- Software Management: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite) to input data and generate reports.
- Compliance: Assist in the preparation of year-end tax documents and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.
- Client Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries regarding their financial statements and records.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar cloud-based accounting platforms.
- Excel Skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) is required.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and basic tax preparation processes.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Communication: Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
